TIMELINE OF EVENTS

 The Woodmore Case: January 6, 2025 – Present 

Protecting the identity and safety of the minor victim, referred to publicly as “Thor.”

This timeline summarizes publicly reported information regarding the arrest, charges, and ongoing legal proceedings involving Woodmore paraprofessional Christin Coble and the alleged assault of a disabled minor, Thor, on January 6, 2025. 

Coble is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

BEFORE JANUARY 6, 2025

Employment & Background

  •  Christin Coble was employed by Woodmore Local Schools as a paraprofessional/teacher’s aide.
     
  • Media reports show she has held an Ohio educator license since 2016 and previously worked in Bowling Green, Fostoria, and Gibsonburg school districts.
     
  • Upon her arrest, Woodmore immediately placed her on leave pending the outcome of the criminal case.


JANUARY 6, 2025

ALLEGED ASSAULT

  • Woodmore Local Schools were closed due to snow and hazardous weather.
     
  • According to law enforcement, Coble allegedly went to the home of Thor, a minor child with developmental disabilities, during the closure.
     
  • Reports describe Thor as having cognitive functioning significantly below chronological age.
     
  • National coverage states that Thor’s mother discovered the alleged assault inside the home and immediately contacted authorities.


January 07, 2025

ARREST & BOOKING

  • Coble was arrested and booked into the Sandusky County Jail on a first-degree rape charge involving Thor. 


JANUARY 08, 2025

BOND

  • She appeared in court for arraignment; bond was set at $100,000, which was later posted.
     
  • Woodmore Local Schools placed her on unpaid administrative leave.


JANUARY 2025

MEDIA & COMMUNITY RESPONSE

  • The case gained widespread attention, emphasizing:
  • Thor’s disability and heightened vulnerability.
     
  • The alleged abuse of authority by a school employee.
     
  • Community concerns about the safety of students with special needs.


MAY 16, 2025

GRAND JURY INDICTMENT

  • A Sandusky County grand jury indicted Coble on four felony counts:
     

  1. Two counts of Rape
     
  2. Two counts of Sexual Battery
     

  • All charges specifically relate to the alleged assault on Thor.


JUNE 2, 2025

NOT GUILTY PLEA

  • Coble entered a Not Guilty plea to all charges.


  • The case remains active, with trial proceedings pending.


CURRENT STATUS — CASE ONGOING

GRAND JURY INDICTMENT

  • Investigators have publicly referenced concerns regarding how access to Thor’s home occurred.
